FISTIK

Fıstık is a film that follows a beings’ journey to The Underworld. Our representation of the afterlife in modern society is frequently narrowed down to heaven or hell. I use references to Greek mythology and Middle Eastern studies to highlight the physicality of the journey and the place of The Underworld, itself. The death of one's ego is used as a catalyst to ignite the main characters' epic. Through landscapes and symbolism, I hope to transport the viewer along with the protagonist through this unorthodox experience of death, whether that be physical or emotional.
