MECHANIC

The Mechanic is a project where I and two other artists collaborated with the goal to learn how to make a film from start to finish. All three of us worked on the script, set design, audio, colour grading, filming, lighting, and directing. Our main interest was to further develop our, then-little knowledge, of filmmaking and so we kept the storyline simple and classic. The short film follows a mechanic at work listening to a car chase on the radio. As the audience we are unsure if there is a connection between the protagonist and the person in the car chase on the radio. The film is a one take shot that slowly reveals what the mechanic is working on, it is left open to the audience to interpret.
