FABLE
Inspired by Nordic folklore and fables, this video installation morphs fablesque illustrations from children's books. No Sound or music accompanies the video work. This piece works as a modern interpretation of illustrations. The term “moving illustration”, I use, however, I do not know if it exists. So I came up with my own definition. A video in the style of a book's illustrations, one shot and still with little movement from landscape or subject. Each shot is a different page of a book. You can choose how long or short you linger on the images. The choice to remove the stereotypical archetypes such as princes, goblins, princesses and more, was to keep the fond memory of such tales but without the harmful tropes and standards they set.
